Events are negotiable for alumni, but Blugold teams will run a format as follows: 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free, 200/100 IM, 50 Free, Diving (1 and 3 Meter), 100/50 Fly, 100Free, 500 Free, 100/50 Backstroke, 100/50 breastroke, 200 Free Relay

Women's Golf Tied for Sixth in Latest Poll

The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team is currently tied for sixth place in the October 3 Golf World/NGCA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll.

Eau Claire was ranked sixth at the last rankings and is now tied with Illinois Wesleyan University, which fell two spots since the last poll.

The Blugolds have done well so far this season, finishing no lower than fifth place at each of the four tournaments where they competed.

Cross Country Teams Appear in National Poll

The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's cross country teams both appeared in the week two U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 35 national poll.

The women are tied for fifth according to the poll while the men were just outside the top 35 but received two votes.

In regional rankings, the women are second while the men are 10th.

Cross Country Teams Receiving National Recognition

The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's cross country teams both appeared in the week one U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 35 national poll.

The women are ranked third according to the poll while the men were just outside the top 35 but received 11 votes.

In regional rankings, the women are second while the men are ninth.

Women’s Cross Country Ranked in Preseason Poll

The UW-Eau Claire women’s cross country team is ranked No. 5 according to this season’s initial U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) top 35 poll, the organization announced today.

The Blugolds, who took fourth place at last year’s NCAA Championship, open the season Sept. 4 when they host an Alumni/Open meet.

The men also received some recognition as they received votes in the preseason poll.

Volleyball Ranked in 2011 Preseason Poll

The UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball team found itself ranked 20th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's Preseason Top 25 poll, announced today.

The Blugolds ended last season ranked No. 18 after finishing with a 25-10 record. The team advanced to the NCAA Tournament and also captured a share of the WIAC title.

The 2011 season gets underway Sept. 2 when the Blugolds host their annual Labor Day Classic.

John Kearns Signs with Laredo Bucks

Bucks Add Blue-Liner

LAREDO, TX: The Laredo Bucks, of the Central Hockey League, announced Wednesday that they have signed John Kearns for the 2011-2012 season.

John Kearns is 23 years old from Park Ridge, Illinois. Kearns has played the last four seasons for the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire (NCAA III). He also played last season for the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL).
