The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team has reached its highest ranking ever, No. 1, in the final editions of both the D3hockey.com and USCHO.com Top 15 polls.
The Blugolds ended the season winning the NCAA Division III national championship, the first NCAA title in school history. The completed the year with a record of 24-5-2.
Eau Claire received all 20 first-place votes in both polls.

Men's Indoor Track & Field Team Ranked Sixth
The UW-Eau Claire men's indoor track & field team is ranked sixth in the latest U. S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Computer Rankings, announced Monday.
The Blugold men's and women's teams will compete at nationals March 8-9 in nine different events.
Last year, the men took second at the NCAA Championship, their highest finish ever, while the women were 12th, their best finish since 2009.

Men's Hockey Headed to NCAA Championship Ranked Fourth
The UW-Eau Claire men's hockey team is ranked fourth in both the D3hockey.com and USCHO.com Top 15 polls, announced March 4.
The Blugolds were second in both polls last week but dropped two spots after falling to St. Norbert College in the NCHA Peters Cup Final last weekend.
Eau Claire earned an at-large bid to compete in the 2013 NCAA Championship for the first time since 1989. The Blugolds will kickoff tournament play against Saint John's University (Minn.) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. when they host the Johnnies at Hobbs Ice Center.

Men's Indoor Track & Field Moves up in National Rankings
The UW-Eau Claire men's indoor track & field team moved up to No. 5 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Team Computer Rankings released Wednesday.
Last week the Blugolds were ninth while they were seventh in every other ranking since the beginning of the season.
In the region, the men are fifth while the Blugold women are ranked ninth.
