Indoor Track & Field Teams Ranked in Top 10 Nationally

The UW-Eau Claire men's and women's indoor track & field teams are both ranked in the top 10 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association top 25 rankings.

In the week six rankings, the men moved up to No. 4 after being ranked seventh last week.

The women jumped significantly. After not being in the top 25, they moved to No. 10.

Regionally, the men are fifth while the women are fourth.

Women's Basketball Falls Slightly in National Polls

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team dropped slightly from last week in two nationals polls.

In the week 13 D3hoops.com top 25 poll, the Blugolds are ranked No. 18. A week ago they were No. 16.

In the Feb. 28 edition of the WBCA top 25 poll, Eau Claire came in at No. 19, down two spots from the previous week.

The Blugolds will be in competition this weekend in Chicago for the first and second round of the NCAA Championship. The Blugolds will open play Friday against Simpson College (Iowa).

Men's Indoor Track & Field Ranked No. 7

The UW-Eau Claire men's indoor track & field team is ranked No. 7 in the week five U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association top 25 poll.

The Blugolds were ranked No. 6 last week but dropped one spot.

In the region, the Blugold men are fifth while the women are sixth.

Women's Basketball Moves up in National Rankings

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team jumped significantly in two national polls this week after capturing a share of the WIAC title last weekend.

In the Week 12 D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll, the Blugolds are No. 16, up six spots from last week.

In last week's WBCA poll, the Blugolds were ranked 22nd but moved up to No. 17 in the Feb. 21 edition of the poll.

The Blugolds hold a 20-5 overall record this season and are the No. 2 seed for this year's WIAC Tournament.

Last week the Blugold men were seventh. The women, who were ranked 14th last week, dropped out of this week's rankings.

Women's Basketball 22nd in Two National Polls

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team is ranked 22nd in two national polls, announced this week.

In the week 11 D3hoops.com poll, the Blugolds remained with a No. 22 ranking while moving up three spots to No. 22 in the WBCA poll for Feb. 14.

The Blugolds hold an 18-5 overall record and are tied for second place in the WIAC with an 11-3 record.

Women's Basketball In Feb. 7 Top 25 Polls

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team is ranked nationally in both the WBCA and D3hoops.com Top 25 polls.

In the week 10 D3hoops.com rankings, the Blugolds are ranked 22nd, down six spots from a week ago.

In the Feb. 7 WBCA poll, the Blugolds are 25th, down five spots from last week's rankings.

The Blugolds will have Wednesday off this week before traveling to Menomonie Saturday for a game against UW-Stout.

Blugold Softball Ranked in Preseason NFCA Poll

The UW-Eau Claire softball team is ranked in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association preseason top 25 poll.

The Blugolds, who finished last season with a 29-16 record and advanced to the NCAA tournament, are ranked No. 23 in the season's initial poll.

Eau Claire will open the season Feb. 25.

The Blugold men came in the highest at No. 17 while the women are ranked 22nd in the top 25 poll.

In the Midwest regional rankings, the men are seventh and the women are eighth.
