Women's Basketball Ranked in Two National Polls

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team is ranked in the latest D3hoops.com poll and WBCA coaches poll.

In the week nine D3hoops.com rankings, the Blugolds are 16th, down two spots from a week ago.

In the Jan. 31 WBCA poll, the Blugolds fell just one spot from last week to No. 20.

Women's Basketball Moves up In Rankings

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team moved up in both the WBCA and D3hoops.com top 25 national polls this week.

In the D3hoops.com poll, the Blugolds moved to 14th in the week eight rankings after being ranked No. 16 last week.

In the WBCA poll, the Blugolds are now 19th, moving up two spots from the previous rankings.

Indoor Track & Field Teams Ranked in Preseason Poll

Both the UW-Eau Claire men's and women's indoor track and field teams are ranked nationally according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association preseason top 25 poll.

The Blugold men are ranked 14th in the poll while the women are 15th.

Women's Basketball Ranked in Jan. 17 WBCA Poll

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team is ranked No. 21 in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association top 25 poll.

The Blugolds, who are ranked No. 16 in the newest D3hoops.com poll, last appeared in the WBCA poll in March of the 2008-09 season at No. 15.

Women's Basketball No. 16 in Week Seven D3hoops.com Poll

After winning two games over the past week, the UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team jumped from No. 25 to No. 16 in the latest D3hoops.com top 25 poll.

The Blugolds beat UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday and then took down 17th-ranked UW-River Falls on Saturday.

The wins gave the Blugolds a 7-1 conference record, moving them into first place in the WIAC.

Women's Basketball No. 25 in Week Six D3hoops.com Poll

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team is ranked 25th according to the week six D3hoops.com poll, announced Monday.

Last week, the Blugolds split against conference opponents, beating UW-Stout to win their ninth straight game, while narrowly falling 64-60 to then ninth-ranked UW-Stevens Point.

The Blugolds are currently 12-3 overall and 5-1 in WIAC play.

Women's Basketball Ranked No. 24 in D3hoops.com Poll

The UW-Eau Claire women's basketball team is ranked No. 24 according to the Week 5 D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.

After opening the season with an 11-2 record, the Blugolds appeared in the rankings for the first time since the final poll of the 2008-09 season, when they were ranked 15th.

Starting 2012, the Blugolds lead the WIAC with a 4-0 record and are on an eight-game winning streak.

The Blugolds will get back to conference play Wednesday (Jan. 4) when they host UW-Stout at 6 p.m. in Zorn Arena.
