MADISON, Wis. - For the third straight year, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s volleyball teams will participate in promotions to support Breast Cancer Awareness.
Each of the nine WIAC teams will be involved in at least one promotional event throughout the month of October. Over the past two seasons, conference teams have raised $33,751 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.
The following WIAC matches will feature the promotions: UW-River Falls at UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 1), UW-Stout at UW-Whitewater (Oct. 1), UW-La Crosse at UW-Stevens Point (Oct. 6), UW-Whitewater at UW-La Crosse (Oct. 13), UW-Oshkosh at UW-Eau Claire (Oct. 15), UW-Oshkosh at UW-Superior (Oct. 16), UW-Eau Claire at UW-River Falls (Oct. 20), UW-Whitewater at UW-Platteville (Oct. 20), UW-Superior at UW-Stout (Oct. 20).
Various promotional activities will take place at each match to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Spectators are encouraged to wear pink clothing in support of all those affected by breast cancer.
