Blugold Cross Country Teams Ranked High Headed into Nationals

With the 2012 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships set to be contested Saturday (Nov. 17), the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its final poll of the regular season.

The national top 35 poll found the Blugold women ranked No. 7, up from No. 11, while the men are ranked 14th.

Rose-Hulman will host nationals at the LaVerne Gibson Cross Country Course outside of Terre Haute, Ind., on Saturday. The men’s 8k race is slated for 11 a.m., eastern, while the women’s 6k will go off at Noon, eastern. NCAA.com will broadcast the national championships live.

It's always exciting to see how teams are ranked leading up to national championships, and the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's final poll adds an extra layer of anticipation. The fact is I couldn't watch it properly because I was searching for someone to help me do my homework because I had exams the next day.
